I use all Red Sea test kits. My Hanna pen for PH was so off even with calibration before use… point of sale in my opinion. Red Sea test kits are awesome across the board
I’ve got a Hanna salinity pen and a refractometor and so far the pen has been hold calibration well. But I do check it periodically with the frac to verify it’s still good. If my eyes were better then I’d old skool it with the colors but it’s just healed to differet the colors

Well reef fam I got another interesting day to talk about. When I first started talking about taking another shot at a reef tank I was surprised by the amount of people around me that were supporting me or motivating me to do it. Well as I said in a past post my GF showed up one day with her “reef tank starter kit” well not only was I blessed with that but it was only a few days later when I was giving a gift that was cash to invest into more corals. Well me being the overthinker that I am, instead of buying corals with it I used it to sign up for the WWC monthly subscription program. Today that first months package came in and I have no complaints with it seeing as how this is a young tank and I’m excited to watch it grow.

I will list what I got as they were listed on the shipping receipt.

1. Glowstick Hydnophora
2. Jason Fox sector 001 favites
3. WWC Bob Marley zoas
4. WWC Fortune Cookies zoas
5. Pillow Rhodactis

Looks like it's coming along nicely
Thanks my friend, I really need to come in and do an update on this thread seeing as how I haven’t done so in over a month… lol. Looking at this picture now so much has changed and moved as I now have torch and frogspawn also. To go along with some beautiful pieces sent to me by some friends of mine. I will try to get some pictures put in later today if I get time away from the family.

Here’s a few pictures I was able to snap earlier today. I’ve got some things on a frag rack but I wasn’t able to get a clear picture of them. Tank is coming along nicely but I’m taking it slow and steady.

Few more snapshot. I can’t wait until everything grows in some more and I can get it out into a permanent place on the rocks

Looking great!! I got my first two frags today but you’re inspiring me to go get some more!
That’s awesome, I’m excited to see your tank grow. I can tell you first hand that it’s hard not to just go buy every cool coral you see. But I told myself that I didn’t want a water globe tank that was only nice looking while the stuff in it withered away. After my first few I waited to make sure they were happy and opening up fully everyday before I even thought about more. As a matter of fact my GF bout the first 3 or 4 corals that were in it as a surprise for me. Lol

That’s what I’m doing as well - got a finger leather and a couple ricordea to see how they do. I’d they’re thriving still in a couple weeks I’ll add on some more.
Love that your gf got you those corals!! Mine is also loving the hobby but when it comes to corals she immediately picks out the most expensive or hardest to grow in the entire store.

Same here, she told me that she asked the guy in the store what to get because every time we went to the store she was eyeballing acros and other corals that aren’t impossible but just need a more mature tank. So she came back with what she called a “starter pack”. Lol but they are all alive still and every time she’s here she is looking to see how they are going

Alrighty reefing fam, I thought it would be a good time to pop up a few progress pictures of my BioCube 32. It’s only a few months old obviously but everything seems to be healthy and happy. I’ll be super happy when I get passed the bunch of frags look, but hey.. you gotta crawl before you can walk. So with that said here’s a few pic

Last but not least here is a space invader that’s almost double in size since I got it, a JF sector 001 favieta that has doubled in size and a fuzzy little birds nest that I was given as a gift
