I just bought a new nem, have him in the tank finally, look not happy. He root into my rock, should I just leave him there? Releasing some zxoo. Any idea

Did it look like this when you bought it? A gaping mouth is a very bad sign

Tank is new yes, but the rest of the 17 Nems are doing fine

water Para:
salinity: 1.025
No3: 2-4
Po4: 0.03 or less
Temp: 78
Did not check KH,Mg,Ca recently, but things were in check from last week test. The rest of the nem are doing fine, I don't think it is about water parameter, but it is stressed during transit

The tentacles were a bit shorter, after added to the tank for 2 hours, the tentacle extend a bit

That's not very encouraging. Looks like he shipped poorly.

I would observe tonight and prep a QT tank for in the morning and move him over if he still looks this bad. If he shows improvement I would leave him until about 2 hours after lights on and see if he perks up. Do you have Cipro on hand? I don't recall.

I have cipro, ready all time. QT is ready too, I will start some fresh salt mix now,

I thought so. I wouldn't pull him just yet. See if he gets through the night. Check him every 30 minutes or so until bed. He's attached so that is a plus.

If he looks worse before you get ready to hit the hay, pull him and move him to be safe. If you think he can go the night without detaching leave him.

It is a sherman bta, hopefully he makes it

Almost forgot, put some pantyhose on for the night to be safe, just in case, if you end up leaving him.

yup, so he doesn't detach and float into it while you're asleep. Would not be the first, second or thousandth time it happened.
