New Build Thread

Hi folks - so with the Waterbox sale, decided to take the plunge for Number 2 tank. My first one is about 1.5 years old - first SW tank - mixed reef Waterbox 100.3 - this new one is the 130 Reef - gonna do a FOWLR. I plan to provide updates as things progress

Initial considerations are
- sand v bare bottom
- powerhead(s) v gyre
- live rock v caribsea
- fish list (to be determined but favoring the (of course) not reef friendly type

Any thoughts? Thaks

Sand is really a personal preference, but some fish (wrasses) will require it. I prefer gyres - but the EcoTech powerheads so hide the cabling and make it easier for maintenance. Live vs. dry is also very much a personal preference.
