Ok guys I’ve been in the hobby for about 7 years. I’m going from a JBJ 45 RL tank to a Red Sea 650 peninsula. This tank is going to be $$$!

Here’s what I have

1 Vortech for return
3 ecotech Radion pros
Eshops skimmer
Apex for controller and dosing
Mindstream for monitoring

This tank is going to be as automated as possible with the mind stream and apex to help me stay on top of it.

I Jump started my cycle with a bottle of microbacter7 and dr Tim’s to try to get some good diverse bacteria. I threw in a frozen shrimp for some fuel.

I’m going mixed reef here. Would love some SPS with LPS. That being said should I go with the aquatic life t5 LED combo strip or be satisfies with my 3 Radion gen 4 pros with diffusers

Don’t update often so here’s my setup
Red Sea peninsula
In my basement I have 2 65 gallon water barrels for mixing and holding saltwater
I use my apex for auto water changes. I currently change 4 gallons a day

my current stock list is as follow
1 koi tang
1 chevron tang
3 yellow tangs
3 purple tangs
1 melanarus wrasse
1 Christmas wrasse
1 Midas blenny
1 Bella Goby
2 fire fish
1 royal gramma
A few others I’m sure I’m forgetting about.

my parameters sit as follows
Alkalinity 8.8-9.2
Calcium 415-430
Mag 1400
PH 8.6-9
Nitrates 5-10 ppm
Phosphate .1-.2
Temp 78

To control nutrients I change my filter socks every 2 days and I run a Clearwater scrubber. I also run a UV sterilizer and
skimmer

I QTd all my fish using methods from Humblefish and marine collectors but am not ultra experience so I run to UV as a security measure. My fish have all been together now for about 9 months and have very little aggression issues. I feed my own blend of food 2-3x a day as well as sheets of nori 2-3x a week

I automate everything with my apex and do daily testing with my trident. I dose ESV 2 part
