I received this Ocellaris on Wednesday (it is now Friday) from a well know vendor here who handles the QT process.

It has a bump under it's mouth, it looks like a cloudy pimple. This is how it was received.

This group of fish had a tough couple of weeks. They went to the UPS store on Thursday of last week, and got stuck there. Vendor went and got them Friday when I informed them the tracking looked stuck. Acclimated them back in the holding tanks, and re-shipped to me on Tuesday. So that is well over 24 hours in the bag multiple times in a week.

My first thought was this is a physical damage / wound rather than an infection knowing how long these were in QT prior to arriving.

The only thing that is bothering me (and you now lol) making me post is that I cannot get either of the clown pair to eat. Tried brine shrimp, mysis, flake, pellets, food floats right past them and gets ignored. All the other fish are eating like pigs.

I have a huge amount of data I can share, figured I'd leave it as this for now as no one reads a book on a first post.

I'm also seeing this vibration behavior only when the 2 clowns are together. Is this some sort of mating ritual? It happens 5 - 6x per hour.

I see this occasionally with clowns who squabble/fight, clean rock areas before spawning and glass surf in whereas they chase their reflection on the glass. Goiter is a possibility but I believe it is due as previously mentioned. If true, will reduce in size and heal on its own, If it worsens, treat in a separate tank using Seachem Neoplex

Thanks. Had to look up goiter.

Could not find any images similar to this on the web, so I really am thinking it must be abrasion more than invasion. I have a QT tank set up but currently running copper in there on 2 firefish and a bicolor. Came from a trusted source LFS so I could swap them... treat the clown(s) if necessary. Hopefully this begins to resolve in 24-48. I have clear progression pics so we will see.

Looks like a rub injury. Unless it turns red and/or starts to grow larger, you won’t need to treat it.
These can take a few weeks to heal, and rarely, they leave a scar. Scars are more common when the rub injury is chronic, like from rubbing on something in a tank.

I hope he has a scar. Chicks dig scars.
