New crab with babies?

Just picked this arrow crab up. And im pretty sure its releasing spawn.... Any input? This is my first addition to my tank. Didnt want hundreds of them.

The larvae go through planktonic stages, so worries.
 
Wow thats like 100 for the price of one. Im sure most of them will get eaten or destroyed in the poweheads
 
Once they hatch they need plankton to consume. Your tank can not provide that so the larvae will not survive. Trust me you only want one arrow crab and you might regret that in the coming months. Arrow crabs are cool creatures but they grow very fast, eat a lot and act like they're always starving. They can go after snails and hermits and small sleeping fish. They are the best at eating bristle worms though.
 
Great Deal! My peppermint shrimp came that way also.. She let the fry go, and then my clownfish ate them all before I could stop him :(
Meh.. least he ate well :)
