Welcome! Bracing is used for support to make sure the tank doesn’t crack, shatter etc. Was that bought new, if it came with a manufactures warranty. That would void it and they won’t replace it.

Do not remove the center brace, I once cut the center brace off of a 55 gallon, the front glass immediately bowed out and was in danger of bursting. I had to replace a new tank because of my mistake.

Welcome to R2R!!! To answer your question, no do not remove the brace. The glass on your tank will bow due to the thickness of the glass. Do not remove the brace. Glad to have you!
