New fish

I would want to add more fish into my 37 gallon tall tank. I have 2 clowns, yellow tail goby but I have a six line. The clowns like to stay in a corner and the goby in a rock until it’s feeding time. The only one that is out is the six line. I would like to see fishes swim around. What are some recommendations if I could get some.

I wouldn’t do anything else with a sixline. If you’re lucky you could get away with it however most sixlines will be unhappy about new additions and especially in such a small tank. If you had a larger tank it would be possible however as it’s only a 37 I wouldn’t do anything else and instead let everything grow out and see what happens.

Do your clownfish not freely swim, maybe to much waves, turbulence, just a thought :)

Clowns usually stick to one spot when established, they sometimes leave that area but it’s uncommon if not rare for them to do so. Mine hosts my ricordea rock and will very rarely leave it alone, fish can withstand a lot more flow than you’d assume.

I put my goby after after my six line and they don’t care for eachother.

This is most likely due to two things;
Gobies stay close to the bottom whereas sixlines will be more in the middle of the water column.
Or how the Sixline was juvenile and aggression will come with age. I have cared for and owned several sixlines, I had it where it was somewhat like for every 5 sixlines there was 1 good one. Out of 10 you’d get 2 good sixlines ect… This is only an estimate however in my time working in the LFS I did figure it out to be around this with maybe 1 or 2 outliers.
