New H. magnifica just arrived

I received this ritteri this morning and has settled in very nicely. I have to say that it was very ticky and mouth was tightly closed straight out of the bag.

Thanks! I was a bit worried when I ordered it as I really never got to see the nem before buying it. Just spoke to the customer service rep and asked many questions. Took a risk and seems to have paid off. I know it's early on in the transition but in my experience with these im off to a decent start.

Now if my clowns would realize that the nem is in the tank....Lol I hope that in time they swim by it and dive in

Waiting for the host relationship to start it the worst! I got a BTA a couple weeks ago and the clowns have been nipping at it and testing it every once and awhile but still wont dive in! You should have better luck with a ritteri though!

I hope so, my problem is going to be that the clowns in my tank don't leave the back half of the tank. Luckily though the anemone attached to a nice flat rock on the side of the tank where the clowns tend to congregate in. Only time will tell.

I never got to see it before it arrived. I spoke to the rep and made sure mouth was closed, nem was sticky and made sure it was a purple base with green/yellow tips. Couldn't have been happier considering never seeing it. Colors are great the base of the nem is a deep purple and I hope the tips become more of an accent once acclimated to my lighting.

On another note day one of the light cycle and clowns never made it in. The closest I saw them get was by them doing a few "flyovers" as the lights began to dim. I hope they get the courage to dive into the nem sooner than later.

Where did you get it from? Planning on one n a few months and looking for purple or blue base, may have to hand picked by smaller vendor

This one actually came from bluezoo. I had been looking for one locally for some time and hadn't been able to source one. LADD, hadn't posted them up and then I missed out on a few from aquasd (great ritteri) supplier, so I decided to take a chance with bluezoo and worked out.

From what aquasd mentioned to me they may have some available tomorrow on their update.

Yea I apologize for the creepy pic, was excited to see it looking happy and in the same spot pretty much from yesterday. Took the pic with my phone. My diamond goby doesn't help the cause with the sand constantly being stirred up. I'll try to take the better camera out this weekend.

Very happy to report that my mag has not moved from its spot since I put it into the tank last week. Now if I can just get my clowns to stop swimming laps around it and start to be in the nem.

Ha hosting is the worst. My clown won't upstairs any of my nems but sure loves my large long tentacle goniopora.

Well I can tell you that when I called to ask questions about the nem (was mouth tightly closed, sticky, description on colors) they were more than helpful. Although, I may have been skeptical of them telling me the truth they were pretty honest with me once I received the nem I was able to agree with what had been said. When I tried putting the nem in the tank I couldn't get it off my hand it was that sticky. Going on 2 weeks with the nem and hasn't appeared to show any signs of it not going to do well in my system
