new here, recommended to try this forum..

been in the hobby for a couple decades, love how we are always learning and adapting.
mainly was told about the forum to sell and possibly trade some coral... I have tons of pulsing xenia.

Hello and Welcome to R2R! I tried too early to try pulsating Xenia and it did not survive. I'm sure that the tank would not have a problem anymore.
From my experience with them through my many setups they do well in most systems that have decent stability and aren't ulm tanks...not picky... one of few who thrive with nitrates above 5ppm...
A good coral to test with to see if tank is ready.... or my favorite use of them, break off a chunk to test water flow in a particular cave or etc..
Too early would be my guess

Lol yeah.... sadly I've already hooked up friends n neighbors.... I sadly toss a lot more in my yard than I'm happy with....
I've talked with our fwc department regarding adding Colonies in the Gulf, but it seems like if I get someone in some type of mood I can easily get prison time.,. Always a response of ummm, that should do well here, but record every moment from tank to artificial reef.... Then hope for no prison time
