Sounds exactly like the problem I had.

I think you're going to have to gas off the CO2. You can check out a video here about it. https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/content/post/Extend-Lifespan-of-DI-Resin-Reduce-CO2-How-To-Tuesday

Also another calculator

I don't think a better RODI unit will affect this, I could be wrong and there is a product out there that I am unaware of, but I think it's bound by the CO2.
Thank you for sharing I’m going to have to check this out!

Very cool looking setup! You might want to check out purewaterclub for a new RODI unit they are so much cheaper than all the other sites I saw.

Also, I went with an Aquamaxx RC3 skimmer and am happy with it thus far. Think it's a really good value as well.

Do you guys think it’s worth it to purchase a $800-$1,000 dollar skimmer? I haven’t ran a skimmer in about 4 years. But I’m going to need one on this new tank. I’m looking into ro skimmers ran those before and loved them.

Wow, that's definitely a big skimmer! While my system won't be quite as large, here’s the one I got. Im guessing I'll be around 190-200 gallons.

Some really good reviews on that! Thinking I’m going to pull the trigger!

I haven’t decided on mine yet but what I have been reading is bigger and $$$ isn’t necessarily better. Slightly under sized may work better. I am also going to do macroalgae in refugium and displays to help out

I have read that as well, it’s hard to decide I hear people go both ways I want to run my system such as heavy import and heavy export method.

So I will have roughly 325-350 gallons of water volume I’m going to try and find a skimmer roughly rated for 250 gallons heavy bioload. What do y’all think about that?

You guys are much more experienced than me, but following. I am holding off on any more planning until the guys at work figure out my floor load. If I have to lighten the load and beef up the floor I might use make a “fish closet” in basement below the tank for bigger sump QT, & ATO.
