New house, New build

It’s finally here we’ll kind of, been dreaming of a nice little setup like this for some time. Im a bit ways out but I’m starting this build thread to track my progress. So here it goes... Future plan is to have a 180 upstairs plumbed into a remote sump in the basement. Here’s a list of some of the equipment I’ll be adding to the tank. I have most of these already.

We moved in the house roughly a month ago and we had new floors installed so there was no waiting on the tank. The aquarium will sit against the yellow wall in our dining room.

Had a plumber come early last week and tap into our main line for my RODI hookup so that is all set up. Also had an electrician stop by yesterday and wire up three 20 amp gfi outlets against my wall in the basement for my equipment plus my own switch on the breaker for all my aquarium outlets.

Found two nice 50 gallon low bow aquariums for my frag system which will be tied into my main tank as well. Should have roughly 325 gallons of water volume. My sump has all my rock and live stock in it at my cousins house which I will be bringing over hopefully this weekend. Things are slowly starting to happen.

I have not decided yet on what tank I want to buy but I have decided I am going to have an @Aquarocks aquascape in my display. I was thinking one just like this.

Can't tell from the picture(Doesn't look like it) but are you gassing off your RO before adding it to the DI? I was burning through DI (1 DI canister per 75 gallons) before I did this. Not sure your location in Wisconsin but you may want to check out the carbon dioxide in your ro water.

Like your frag setup. Where did you get those tanks?

I am not but I just bought new filters for my Rodi unit so we will see I’m about 15 minutes from old location so we will see how much different the water is here at the new place. The tanks are just standard 50 gallon low bow aquariums drilled them. You can find them at petworld warehouse in Madison off of the bet line. I found them from a local reefer in town. Thank you they are going to be nice frag tanks!

I am curious how you gas off your ro before the di? I also suspect I have high co2 levels
