I have a the Red Sea reefer 350 with 2 XR15 G6 pro with one AI blade and I want to switch lights I have a SPS dominant tank and was wondering what light to go with I’ve been looking at the new reef breeders meridian but want your guises input? Haven’t found too much info on them and was wondering if that would be a good move or a different brand

Mostly depends on how much money you want to throw at it and looks and features.
Any 250w led should do if properly placed.

Meridian 35

Specifications:

  • Coverage Area for a Mixed Reef with SPS: 48"x24" (120cmx60cm)
  • Recommended Mounting Height: 14" (35cm) above waterline with OHM Balance Optics
  • 225watts max power draw
I'd personally pick lights that fit a tank regardless of whats in it.
In this case the Meridian 45.
I believe Reefbreeders still leans to a 35 for a 48" tank.

There's plenty of info here on Meridians.
your g6's and "a" blade isn't exactly terrible.
G6's disadvantage is the wide spread and the fact that the mount is "technically" too high at its lowest position for such a wide spread. Cheap solution is to change the optics.
$20 each light sure beats $1500..
"Increases" par by 168-ish % Face it it doesn't increase photon counts just where those photons go.
