New LTA just lying on sand

I got my LTA today, did the acclimation. LTA looks good , foot and tentacles. My question is why is it just lying on the sand. I tried putting it on the sand and on rock. It will not stick to anything. any suggestions!!!!!

If it's a LTA it will prefer the sandbed. Try a low flow area, or make a depression in the sand in a low flow area. You can also try placing the base in a piece of wide diameter PVC, or you can take a strawberry basket and place it over the anemone in a low flow area. Not unusal for a new anemone so I would not intervene yet but give the anemone a couple hours.

Well I had an accident. My stupid fault! Yesterday morning I turned on my powerhead just to get a little more flow.then I had to leave and forgot to turn it off. Came back home and found the water cloudy with the LTA stuck to the powerhead. Needless to say I was very worried. I took the LTA out of the take to look at it in a bowl of tank water. It was missing quiet a few tentacles but other than that did not see anything else wrong with foot. I was very worried about the rest of my fish and my bta. I changed some of the filter pads and when I went to bed the water was still a little cloudy. Got up this morn and the water looks good and the fish and bta still alive. LESSON LEARNED!!!!!!!!
