New Maxima Clam PMD?

Scooped up this ORA clam from mail order on Tuesday. Took a few days to settle in but noticed there is one area where the mantle isnt commi g over the shell. I dont know if its still acclimating a bit or if its PMD. Thoughts?

Clam looks overall healthy. I would check that part of the shell. Might be a pest verm. Or appy bothering it. Or being recently shipped could have a chipped spot thats sharp.

Checked pretty good didnt see anything. Thinking it has to be from shipping.

Seems too early to tell, I'd give it a week if the clam isn't showing bigger signs of distress.

Can you get a few more pics as well. Honestly, the clam mantle doesn't look bad and PMD when our clams got it was in multiple areas of the mantle and progressively got worse. Keep an eye out for pests and new shell growth.

The clam moved and is facing the front of the glass. Hope it stays like that, lol. Its very hard to see looking head on.

That's a nice looking maxima
