Hi!

im from the UK, long time lurker on reef2reef. Recently upgraded my tank after buying a house so I’m here to immerse myself once again, this time with an actual account!

Ive been keeping saltwater for around 15 years and I work as a biochemist at a medical devices company.

I have a RedSea reefer 170 which is currently housing my fields of GSP and maroon clownfish while I decide in which direction I’d like to go with this tank!

Welcome to R2R!

Let’s see the pics!

BRS don’t ship to UK and I couldn’t find a suitable solution for base rock, so I had to improvise!

Starfish and hermits were new CUC members a week or so later. I temporarily have my old live rock in with the dry aqua scape, I plan to remove it shortly now my dry rock is establishing.

here’s some sump action. I bought the tank used at a great price, I ended up making my own plumbing as the stock redsea valve wasn’t great/old, and caused salinity swings due to overflow level changing randomly.

I have some marinepure in there, in another week or so it should be rich enough to remove my old live rock from the system.

I recently added an AI nero 3 to the display, which I absolutely love! I’ll be getting another one of those soon.

WELCOME to R2R! AND, Thanks for sharing the photos. Looking forward to the FTS!

If want a banner above your name you could start a build thread which good place others see what you doing with your tank and you track your tank and could get a UK banner by pressing the things I outlined in red ^_^
