More open, foot seems more spreadput maybe further down the sand. I could always scoot the rockwork but maybe he will open up all the way here and find his spot lol

It’s hidden in a rock, only slightly visible. Good color just... not out to be seen. Maybe it is just getting used to leds.
How long would be too long for it to be hiding in the rock? I guess if I can see it than it’s getting some light, should I try feeding it or just leave it be.

Try turning down your intensity for a bit and slowly raise it back up as it adjusts. If its all the way on the bottom like it is already, and still trying to hide, likely it's to much light.
