So I'm setting up a new max nano peninsula in my office and I have a 525xl at home that has several marine pure large blocks in my fuge for over three years. I'm thinking of cutting one done to fit into a rear chamber of the nano. Anyone have any experience with this to help cycle or am I going to start trouble

I've heard a lot of those products turn to dust over time. If it does make it into the new system whole, then a cycle is completely avoided.

I'm wondering if cutting it will disturb anything bad inside
It's going to create a lot of particles. Won't harm the bacteria though as long as it stays wet
