New naso tang question

I picked up a 3-4” naso tang today it’s doing good with my fish etc I fed nori earlier he swam and watched the other fish eat but ignored it that normal for first day jitters

Yup. Not eating right at introduction is a normal stress response for fish.
I don't get worried about a fish on hunger strike until day 3.

With that said, I also don't put anything into my tank straight from the LFS and have always seen them eat prior to introduction. It's one of my first points in selecting the fish. Gotta see it eat.
