New pair of clownfish chasing each other

Good day everyone, I just got a pair of clownfish about a week ago. Everything was fine at first, but a few days ago one clownfish begins to chase the other one away. I’ve notcied that at night they are sleeping together inside the pvc pipe inside the quarantine tank and during day time the chasing happens. The one that was being chased away was always at the corner of the quarantine tank during day time.

Did you buy them as a bonded pair or just two clownfish? If the latter they will have to decide which is going to be female and there will most likely be chasing and maybe even fighting. If they are both female already it is going to be trouble.
If they are a pair (two fish does not make a pair) QT can be stressful and cause aggression also as it's not a very natural environment and space is usually a bit cramped.

If they are both female already, the bigger/dominant one will probably kill the other. If juvenile, they could be deciding who’s going to be female.
