250-Watt-17500K-MegaChrome-Crystal-Metal-Halide-Bulb-Giesemann-Double-Ended-99.jpg

MegaChrome crystal metal halide bulbs offer excellent coloration and high intensity. They produce a crisp white light with a violet-blue tint that highlights the fluorescent pigments in corals. While fluorescent supplementation is not necessary, they can be added for greater intensity and to simulate a dawn/dusk effect. The high color temperature of these bulbs is achieved through a special manufacturing process that guarantees a longer color stability which is a common problem with bulbs toward the bluer end of the spectrum. Manufacturer tests reveal these bulbs should last over 3 years. MegaChrome bulbs contribute to healthy coral growth and will produce stunning colors in your reef aquarium. They are an excellent choice for reef tanks with SPS and LPS corals. Available now in 150 ($89.00) or 250 watts ($107.00).
