Hello! I never done a thread with my tank and everything I’m putting but I decided to upgrade from a 40 total volume tank to the R90 UNS which is a 82.83 total volume reef tank. I love that the doors are able to get taken away to do any maintenance or anything! And the sump is well thought out.. the only thing is I don’t have much space for reactors but I can put all that to the left and run tubing to the sump and not have to worry about it (the old tank is getting taken out and made as quarantine in the garage after new tank is cycled ) 🤩🤩

New tank next to the old tank 🤩
Will be posting all the stuff I have in the tank

Following along!

Should be nice. UNS tanks look well thought out.

Check out this guys UNS tank. I may steal his idea for using ikea cabinets to the sides of my waterbox display. Can always use extra storage for fish stuff

Exactly what I’m going to do! We are going to IKEA to find a nice one to put on the side… once the old one is out and we move the tv cabinet more 🤗

You want to look at the Besta line. I use these. They house all my electronics.

Not for nothing, but the guy in the video mentioned he actually bought their kitchen cabinets, and that it was due to being more able to withstand water over their other cheaper options. But if you are not going to have liquids in direct contact inside the cabinets, then you will likely be ok.

Probably correct, but Besta's are or at least were cheap as chips. I bought the glass tops for them and put one of the glass shelves on the bottom so it helps with small spills. I also use the ventilated doors and eliminated the back on one so I can hide the chiller. It works for me.

I just got mine set up as well trying to dial in to quietest setting how high is your return chamber does it flow into the overflow ?

This is how my bf set it up, I do hear little drips and drops but it’s almost nothing compared to my older tank

Is that the name of the cabinets? I was going to get one for the kitchen and I was going to use a clear lacquer to make it more water resistant

So I ended up going with hygger heater, and I ended up putting it in the skimmer division. I will be using an egg crate to raise it just a bit to be able to put that heater in the bottom. And maximize space. For the light I went with Ai 32 I have another one so once my cheap light comes in for QT tank I will add both to the main tank. Then my refugium tank I got the one that UNS have, super small but packs a punch 😍. Lastly my pump! I love that thing nothing is better than having a pump bigger than needed rather than too small tank! WiFi controlled too! And the ways I been hiding my cables are these boxes from Walmart!!
