So I upgraded my lights and I need some input on what type of spectrum and intensity to run my new Radions. My tank measurements are 60x36x24. My tank is coming from (3) 250MH and PC lighting.
I have 2 radion fixtures hanging about 12" from surface. Coverage isn't the best yet (Waiting for the 120deg lens to add. May have to add a third light. So I'm looking for some different programs for a starting point. I have mostly SPS and some LPS. I'm currently running the acclamation mode for 5 weeks. Set at 50% currently. All my channels are currently at 100% ( Which I don't care for ) Would like a program that will slowing give me a natural colors. Nothing crazy is necessary. I like the feature of the "traveling sun rise / set mode" Just not sure how to configure the settings.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Since there are 5-6 different presets, just start with one and go through all of them until you find one you like.
I use the high growth preset, but changed out the color temps to suit my taste.

You said you are using the acclimation mode set at 50%. Is that the starting point or the ending point?

Well from what I understand....since my color channels and brightness is currently set at 100%. The acclimation is set at 50% which would be the starting point of my channel values. So over the coarse of 5 weeks it will raise to the 100%. I'm thinking I want to lower my starting point to 40% and max out at 65-75% at the end of the acclimation period. So any input on a good starting point for these values / program would be great. Since these LEDs are much stronger in intensity than my MH. The looks are deceiving cause my tank isn't as "bright". :-)

I would do that asap and maybe lower the end point to 65% and see how the corals are for a couple weeks.
There is a poll on another large forum on how high of intensity people have their Radions set to and the majority have it set to 65% or lower.

I would also use one of the presets. That will change the color valves accordingly.

After the acclimation period is completed....when you say "set to 65% or lower" this is the overall "brightness" correct?

Over all intensity.

I guess the brightness would be more to color temp.

A 20k would be more bluer, darker, and a 10k would be whiter, brighter?

Where is the "intensity" adjustment on the Eco-Smart Live ? Guess I'm missing some thing. I have only seen "brightness" adjustment. Thanks!

I guess the brightness and intensity would be the same.

Where I see it listed as intensity, it's in the templet section.

OK, I asked the question on another forum, where EcoTech is active and this was the answer given.

"They operate exactly the same, the terms "Intensity" and "brightness" are interchangeable regarding EcoSmart Live. "
