Hi and welcome! Retirement is a great time.

That’s a pretty broad question. Can you possibly narrow it down to what parts of a reef design you are asking about?

now that I. am retired. I am going to start a mixed reef tank. need ideas on a reef design.
Welcome to Reef2Reef!

There's lots of help here on the forums, but we'd need a bit more to go on to make some suggestions, such as, what size tank are you thinking about, and what livestock would you like to have.

Good luck with whatever you decide!

Welcome! Just a suggestion, please don't go smaller than a 40 gallon breeder. Bigger is better for water stability. Parameter swings take longer and it will give you time to correct an issue.

I just cringe when I see a "new 10 gallon reef" post from people just starting out. 🙂
