Welcome to R2RFirst off saying reefer and giggling must age me a little. Lol.
I kept freshwater/cichlids for years and switched to a FOWLR tank about 3 years ago. Decided to set up a 40 breeder as my first reef tank and go all out about a year ago. Pretty basic setup, tank, sump, HOB overflow (yuck), skimmer, light, reactor, powerheads, etc. So far only have 2 corals, seeing how that goes before going all gang busters but so far so good.
As requested............FYI: Your fellow Wisconsinites want pictures.
Some better pictures of my corals:As requested............

So this is my first reef tank and attempt at keeping corals. Some details: 4 fish - Yellow Angel - Engineer Goby - Red Spotted Hawkfish - Sailfin Tang (I know, this tank is too small for tangs; this is a temporary home until I get a 125 converted to salt) CUC - 6 Astea...www.reef2reef.com
