New Reefer from Cali

Hello everybody
I heard about this site at a cool shop in Milpitas, CA. My other hobby is high powered model rocketry; thus the "Salinas Hawk", but my name is Edward.

I'm finally old enough to have enough money, and space of my own, to get into this hobby. I have gone on many journeys with my reefer friends: looking at tanks, swiping frags off their friends, and hitting all the cool shops and shows in Cali. But now, in a few short weeks, I will be getting my own tank... or two.

The rocket forum I'm on has been a great source of knowledge, and I'm sure I will learn a lot from this site as well. Reef tanks seem more complicated than rocket science at this point. I'll post some pics in a month or so.

my girlfriend only lets me make one stop in milpitas after church on sundays. i only stop at neptunes then we drive back to dublin.

Welcome to the bay area! I'm on the other side in mountain view. For shops over near milipitas I would go to Neptune aquatics, aquatic collections. Another good forum site just for us bay area reefers is bareefer.org I'm new to the bay area myself so I have been going to every lfs around the bay to see which is good and fair in my opinion. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

How I heard about this site

Yep everybody
I did hear about this site from somebody at Neptune Aquatics. I didn't know if it was cool to mention names and stuff... especially in my first post. Anyhow, now that the cat's outta the bag, Neptune Aquatics is definitely worth the long drive from Salinas.
