I just got a new rodi unit and just installed it. It told me to run for 15 min to get all the gunk out first. However even after 20 minute to the TDS only reduced from 130 to around 100. (Fyi my tapwater is around 90to100)

It sounds as if it is hooked up backward. (line wise)

Or, maybe accidentally used the waste line instead of the purified line.

Checked it though it's right... ? I think? I don't think it's easy to wire reversed cuz the dirty water had a special valve

Mine instructed to make 30 gallons before using it. You just may need to make more before using it.
It is still high but I managed to get it to 90 skmething. Or maybe just coincidence

Please post a picture of your setup so we can take a look :)

Also, does this unit come with a TDS meter? If so where is it located and how is it plumbed?

Did you install the membrane correctly?

+1. Check to make sure that the membrane is seated properly in the housing. Water could be bypassing the membrane if the o-rings don't make good contact with the housing.

Pictures will be nice though, especially of how the lines flow coming out of the membrane.

+1 'Seating' of it can make a big difference.
