Just got a Reefmat 500, which I’m very happy with. Currently been installed 24 hours. The last few hours though there is a strong organic smell coming from the roll. From reading here people say it doesn’t really smell, but I notice it even with the cabinet door closed 10 feet away.

Anyone have this issue? I’m hoping it’s just because it’s pulling a lot of stuff out at the start.

Usually if it rolls up too fast and doesn't have a good amount of time to dry then the organic matter trapped on the roll will produce some sort of smell. If you can raise up the roller. Taking up less paper per roll action might help as well since that helps give the small quantity of paper thats taken up some time to dry
