hi everyone I bought this scoly from my lfs today for a very good price and on one of its edges it has receded a big and all around it is a bit white, I believe that I should be able to nurse it back to it’s full potential but i just wanted to know if anyone had any tips for me? here are some pics sorry about the blues:

What type of lighting are you using vs them? I’ve seen some great scoly recoveries. Keep it in a bit lower flow and spot feed it some meaty bits every now and then.

I’m using ai primes and they had hydra 26’s but i think they might’ve just had it too high in the tank and then moved it down later

Low flow, low light, and some meaty foods a couple times a week should help it recover fairly well.

I've always wanted a scoly, but they are pretty pricey. Went to an LFS and they had a very small, very receded scoly from a tank rescue. My LFS wasn't sure if it would make it, so I got it for a song. Low and behold 3 years later, its a wonderful specimen.

I've posted these before, but it always amazes me how much this has recovered and grown.

When I bought it, it's in a very sad shape:

Hi everyone not sure if anyone is following this thread, but this is an updated pic of my scoly after having it for almost a month and it is puffing up a lot more and getting more colorful around the edges that were almost all white before. The picture doesn’t truly do it justice
