Great job!!!!! Do u have the tank sitting on a shelf? If so that’s impressive. Where do u keep your power strip? I like all the additional tech. How do u like the skimmer?

I have everything underneath the self, I was trying to get that floating look. As for the skimmer, I really can’t say. this actually is my 1st saltwater set up, so I’m guessing it’s still breaking in and the Fluval PS1 was out of stock at the time. But from the reviews and other ppl who has the flex say they like it. Only problem I had, when I bought the intank media basket the back magnet of the tunez was hitting. So if you do go with intank media basket, you have to reposition the magnet on the tunez 9001 to it side.

Are you planning on putting on a screen/cover?

Curious how that looks. Can you pls share a picture? How did you cut and support your screen around the filter area?

Putting the tank on that shelf is pretty artistic.
I just got my flex, keep an eye out for my build coming really soon.
Less controllers though. I'm on a budget.

I love my inTank baskets + flow directors. Running their filter floss/chemipure/marine pure balls. Upgrade return pump to an Eheim unit.

I started up a new all-in-one fluval flex marine 32.5. I’m using the factory 3.0 lighting and hood. I‘m still cycling the tank. The temp fluctuates between 79 (no light) to 82(with light). 82 seems borderline high to me. I’d rather not remove the hood permanently. Anyone else had this concern with the Flex? And advice?
I’ve had a flex 123 since May 2020 and I’m also running into heat issues. I drilled holes in the lid above the light and heat does escape through them but not enough. I added a clip on fan (glued it to the ato magnet) and that worked well until the fan got wet or the magnet crapped it out. Not sure if I’ll go with another fan or cut the lid more. The fan was another thing to be plugged in and cutting the lid is risky. I’ve got a digital thermometer coming because the two glass ones I have show different readings. Then I’ll do some testing and post my results.

I am happy to show off mine. Just got it Saturday and took the weekend to set it up. It’s starting to clear up nicely. I have not yet had an issue with the temp rising, but mine is right under an ac vent... so I’m sure that helps. I didn’t want to put it here but it was really the only place I could get away with it.

I’m waiting on my flex to arrive later this week. How many pounds of rock did you use? It looks great!

yeah the foam is ok...I guess. It does keep some of the beneficial bacteria. But I will eventually lose both of them and run Intank in both chambers. None of the more advanced tanks use foam. The Intank baskets just give you a lot more flexibility to run media like chemipure, purigen, phosguard, etc. I’m considered setting one up as a refugium when my tank becomes a little more established.
Would love to hear how the refugium turns out!
