Hi All,

Im brand new to the forum and about to enter into the saltwater reefing hobby
so thought I would say hello, Im based in perth western Australia.

I would also like so advice/input on products
Im going to be buying a Red sea reefer 250
and im unsure which way to go in pumps/wavemakers etc lights
I was thinking:
radeons xr15s pro gen4 x2
vortech mp4o x2
m1 Vectra
with reeflink etc as I want to go fully automated if possible

Am I better off going with the Neptune apex setup with different stuff like gyres? what do you all think? from what I read it seems to be all personal preference
what route would you suggest I should go?

cheers,
Josh

Personally I think a pair of MP10s would suffice on a 3 foot tank. Those matched with the ecotech radions would be awesome! Control is going to depend on your budget. You can do the reeflink and control your lights and wave makers, but nothing else. Or you could get an apex with an wxm module and control everything from lights to wave makers to your return pump, heaters skimmer, ph temp and orp probes and anything else you can think of ;)

Yea right thanks for the reply, I read that the apex system couldn't control the radeons or the vectra has this been fixed? as I like the look of the apex system and was going to go that way originally, I would go mp10s but I read some people have issues with them cos of the glass on tank being to thick, im a complete noob but I don't mind spending the $$$ to get the best to make life easier

well im still deciding on fish as not a great deal you can keep in a 55 gallon tank, but corals I be looking at acans ,lobos, acros , aussie war coral, hammer, fungi maybe a anemone or something similar to host a pair of clowns
