I'm planning on replacing my sump with a new highly custom design. Before I send it off I want to get some opinions and criticisms on what I have laid out. The water will primarily enter on the left side enter a custom made roller mat, flow into the skimmer chamber. 25% of the water will enter the right had side into a refugium chamber then flow into the center return chamber. The overall height is 14" which is limited by access under the tank, skimmer water level is 9 inches, return chamber is 8" and refugium is 11 inches. Overall sump dimensions are 51 x 17.5 x 14. Any comments would be apricated.

First of all nice job on the sketch up! My old 75 gallon sump was layed out very similar. I like being able to regulate the flow through refugium slower than the flow going to the skimmer. I dont think the bubble trap is necessary going to the skimmer. The skimmer is just going to turn those bubbles into more bubble plus once they flow through your baffles they should dissipate.

Thanks I drew it up un fusion 360. The bubble trap is more to redirect the water into the roller mat. I’m not a big fan of the commercial roller mats that require running a pipe directly into them.
