New tank/equipment chemicals, oils, etc.

I was curious if anyone runs carbon or something else that would help absorb any chemicals, oil residue from new tanks and equipment.

I’m almost done filling my all new system up with RODI and am almost ready to start putting salt in.

I didn't run carbon or anything special in the system I setup last summer, but I did my plumbing, flow and leak testing with tap water specifically so I could give everything a good rinse at the same time. I refilled with RODI and drained it to flush whatever was left from the tap water before moving my existing tank water from old tank to new.
