New tank

Ok guys so I am in the market to purchase a new tank for my house (Predator tank) for now not sure if I'm going to make it a reef tank in the future but I need some help deciding witch one to go with so hopefully you guys and give me some advise I'm looking forward to purchase one of the following two tank

1. 96 1/2" L x 24 1/2" w x 25 1/2" H I think 240g

2. 96 1/2" L x 24 1/2" w x 29 1/2" H. I think 300g

Please give me your input

Both a 240 and a 300 would be good for the same preds. I would mostly be concerned about reaching the bottom of that beast.
