WELCOME TO R2R

Thank you everyone. I should of joined a forum like this a long time ago really but i am here now. I have tried a few ways to lower my nitrates but cannot seem to get them low enough although they do not seem to be affecting my fish or corals too much.

I was looking into the vodka method as a way of reducing my nitrates. I think the problem i have is that i went for an external filter setup instead of a sump but i have had no ill effects from the setup so far except for the nitrates. Fish and corals are healthy and fully extending daily. Thank you for the link KJ. There are a few things i did not consider to try in it.

i tried the vodka method when we first started. suffocated everything. didnt see to run an airerator
