Just starting. Have a 5g marineland portrait tank. Is the led lights strong enough for corals?

Welcome to the community! With that system I could see leathers and some mushrooms doing ok, otherwise, I'd consider buying a little par bulb to put over it if you are wanting other corals such as zoanthids (Which would be awesome to add to such a small tank). Back in college I had an eco pico with ecoxotic 50/50 led strips and it was awesome!

Welcome to r2r! The question isn't really if LEDs are strong, it's what LEDs are strong enough (they vary greatly) and for which corals?

Welcome to R2R ;)
