New to Reef2reef, but not new to reefing. Getting back into my favorite hobby after several years. I got bit by the bug again when helping my cousin set up his first reef tank. My new system is a 150g tall( 48x22x30) has a trigger sapphire 20 sump, 2000gph at 5ft height. Popbloom 3x t30 led panels, 150ish lbs of rock( dry and live) 50lbs crushed coral substrate. Has been running over 2 months. Livestock is 1 three lined damsel, SA extreme frostbite, Darwin, standard orange ocellaris clown fish, very large brittle star, 15 head super neon Duncan, small acan colony(not sure name) a purple favia from WWC, and 5 heads of nirvan palys. More to come in the future.

I got out of the hobby 4 years ago. Had to leave my reef tank to the wife. She has done nothing but add water to the tank, and lost most of the coral. She no longer wants it, and I am stuck bringing what is left back to health. The tank is overrun with asterina, bristle worms, hair algae, bubble algae, and some red algae that is growing like a rose. Has had no mechanical filtration other than a very small hob skimmer. It won’t let me post a video, so I will try again later
