Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum. I had a saltwater tank for around 10 years. It was a 55 gal, deep sand bed with plenum. The wet/dry filter was turned into a sump with no bio balls (when I first started, I used the bio balls). Had two Iwaki pumps and an ETS500 skimmer. I built a custom canopy with two actinic fluorescent tubes and two 175w metal halide bulbs. At each end were 3 inch computer fans. Also had a chiller since my house at the time was hot during the day.
I loved that tank until I had to sell it to make room for my baby girl. Fast forward several years later and I set up a 10 gallon freshwater tank, but I miss saltwater fishes. Hope to get back into it one day soon.
