I've been pouring over many, many forum posts for quite some time now, and we're finally at the point where we'll be making some progress (putting water in the tank) very soon.
This will be a first for me and my wife. I handle the gear, she handles the livestock.
Going to install the RO/DI next week and get this pupper cycling.
Current equipment:
IM Nuvo Fusion 40
IM APS Stand
Stock pump
Stock filter sock (can only use 1)
Tunze 9004 DC Protein Skimmer
Tunze 3152 ATO w/ 7G reservoir
Eheim Jager 150W heater
BRS 5-Stage RO/DI
30 lbs Marco Rocks
Red Sea Salt
MarinePure Biofilter balls (not sure if I want to use these)
Equipment left to purchase:
Kessil A360W (maybe A360X?)
Light mount
IceCap Gyre 1K
Still not 100% sure what to do for the filtration. LFS just handed me a box of the MarinePure balls, but I'm not sure how big of a pain that's going to be to keep the chamber clean. The 1st and 4th chambers of the AIO behind the display are full, that's all I know. Don't know what to do with the other 2. Suggestions welcome.
We're really only looking to keep 2 OC's, maybe one other fish that plays nice, and some anenomes and coral.
