I understand this is a bit small to start out with, however I’m just looking forward to a tank with corals and invertebrates only.

I was wondering weather I should be using reef crystals or Aquaforest reef salt to start out with, I will not be dosing in the beginning, but I will be doing weekly water changes and I’m wondering which one will give the best results for future inhabitants.

Second, flow, this will be a soft and lps only reef with beginner coral, I was just curious if I should get the Sicce micra plus with random flow generator or spring for a controllable pump up to 396 gph from Hygger.

I have kept high tech planted setups and I am quite patient, just don’t have the space for a larger tank

The rear section from my understanding is 3.5x3x11.81 inches
Personally, I think I’d test the stock pump before I’d replace it. I started with an IM15 and the stock pump is loud. Switched to a Jebao DCW1500. For this tank the SICCE or AI Axis might be good. But run the stock and you can put in flake food to see the flow and watch it.

There is also a hygger like the AI. Dc1500. And look at ZKSJ usb wave maker but I feel like the return pumps above and a nano rfg or spin stream might be all that is needed.
