New To Reefs

Hello everyone! I'm really interested in coral propagation, reef restoration, sustainable ocean management, and eco-tourism. I'm hoping to learn from more people who are experienced in it and have similar goals or interests. I'll be doing tourism and volunteer coral propagation in Vanuatu soon but I'm also hoping to do it in Tonga afterwards. I've been following the Coral Gardeners and would love to one day live in Tahiti and pursue coral propagation or eco tourism as a career. I've just finished my first year of studying a Cert III tourism course and plan to travel a bit next year before doing my second year and completing the course.

I joined this community hoping to connect with others in reef work, learn proper propagation techniques, and understand what qualifications or pathways you recommend. I'm looking for conservations around the South Pacific, and eventually the world, where I can either gain experience in volunteering or work. I’d love and appreciate any advice, beginner tips, resources, or stories about your own projects.
