Hi Don

Well plenty to read on the forum.

I guess depends on what you want to do.
For example you could do a local eco system based on marine fish and inverts native to the Florida coastline.

There are options on species only, reef, fowlr, predatory to vegetarian. Fish and animals can be paired with symbiotic partners ranging from cnidarians to plain ole shrimp that's just the tip of the iceberg.

So lots to consider and get your creative juices flowing.

Read up take inspiration and have fun.

Welcome to R2R from Central Florida. If you can run the natural saltwater from up there in your system;), you will not have to purchase salt and possibly not have to dose either.

As for sand and rock well you can go the natural and live route. In order to gain biodiversity. Usually though end up getting something you don't want. It's funny but when you start up you think you will be fine. By the third setup your doing everything you can to stop pests getting into your tank.

Look into pros cons of natural live rock vs man made vs reef bones vs dry rock.

I still think dry rock, microbacter 7, some copepod's and amipods is hard to beat.
