I need to clean the glass, other than that pretty excited. All the rock is the same color, it’s just covered with sand. Hopefully my power head will help with that. Lots of bubbles still on the glass to, magnet cleaner coming tomorrow...
Power head installed, skimmer installed, lots of bubbles. All the reviews on my skimmer said expect bubbles for a few days. Cleaned my glass with a magnetic cleaner, looks much better... after I placed the power head with some adjustment, I have directly in the back center towards the front bow and down, it’s not effecting my fine sand but did kick up some flake food from yesterday. Yes I have been adding a little food to the tank with no fish, trying to cycle it a bit... Keep adding some food? I have read some put a whole table shrimp to start a tank, any thoughts?

Tank is doing really well, all my perimeters for a fowlr have been great. Seeing some diatoms, not to bad though. I added a peppermint shrimp, he is very active. I have had him for a little while now and he went through his first molt, kind of freaked my wife out seeing the shed, she thought he died. I have been seeding the tank with pods, they are sticking around, so that’s good. Already thinking more tanks, I am addicted. I thought it would be a lot of work, which it can be, but worth it. If I had to do it over, I would have used a little courser sand.
