Hi guys, I am new to saltwater! I'm coming from freshwater, I am picking up a 90 Gallon "reef ready" tank this week to start this venture. I am going to be running a 40 gallon breeder sump with a 150SSS protein skimmer and VarioS-4 return pump (refigium set up later.) I bought 3 K7 PRO III NooPsyche lights directly from them to hopefully get this reef tank started. Any pointers for a newbie? Thanks!!

Welcome!! Take your time and don't try to rush things or rush into things. Don't be afraid to ask questions! If you're unsure of something it's way better to ask, even if you think it may be a dumb question it can save you some major headaches down the road. Everyone here is extremely helpful.

Welcome to the R2R community! 90 is a nice size. I have one myself, wish I started with it actually. Ask lots of questions , esp the ones you think are stupid obvious, cause lots of times they’re not.

Sounds like a solid start. I know everyone has split opinions about pest but I prefer to jump start with live filter sponges, rocks and sand. None of those bottles of mix ins for me... good luck though !!

Does anyone have recommendations on fish to keep? I know I want

Clownfish x2
Royal Gramma x1
Gobies x2
Yellow Tang x1
Assortment of clean up crew (researching these guys)
Dwarf Angel x1(coral beauty or flame)

The only fish that I'm firm on having is the 2 clowns and the gramma, the rest I am open to swapping
