Hi all,
I'm 45 years old now and have been keeping reefs for around 18 years.
I have always had some sort of tank ever since I was 6 years old, fresh water, brackish, reptiles ect.
But the last 18 years has been all about saltwater systems for me.
I just started a new tank when I moved to the wonderful state of Florida.
It is a 200 gallon ProStar rimless.
I went back and forth with Waterbox, Red Sea and ProStar. But due to product availability and simple bang for the buck I ultimately went with ProStar. I'm quite pleased with it so far.
The tank is 2 months old now and It is an SPS Acropora geared system.
I primary keep Acros and Montis.
The only exception is Euphyllia and Clams.
Torches and Hammers just add something to the tank that I can't live without.
I run a full Apex system with a Trident and a DOS. I use B ionic for my 2 part. My flow is controlled by 2 MP40s and a Cor20 return pump. And for lighting I run 3 Radion XR 30 pros.
I'm happy to join the community and look foward to sharing and learning new things from you all.

Welcome! Glad you joined.

Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID)

This is a good reference book type online article I still review:
