So as I said, in my headline. New to the lifestyle. Getting together a list of all equipment necessary. Havent bought tank yet because I was thinking about doing a low 45 for lps and softies. But, was talked out of it by friends saying go for the 125 I really wanted. Probably having most trouble figuring out what lighting I need. I know that I will have a tank with corner flow, a sump with a refugium. So far just been researching for last year or so. But, now know I'm doing this. While doing my reasearch R2R was the main thing that popped up. So here I am

You’re in the right place! I filled in 10 years worth of missed hobby info by reading this forum haha.

Hybrid lighting systems (T5 with MH/LEDs) are popular and effective, but pretty pricey. They’ll grow anything. For softies and LPS, you could get away with a few AI primes.
