Hey folks new to the reef game! Had a saltwater tank when i was younger, and got the bug once my roommate started a fresh water tank. Have been watching the 5 minute guide to reefing , love the quick doses of knowledge that it has been providing.

While watching the reef guide the topic came up about colored dry rock , not sure if i can reference Addictive Reef Keeping and Tyler who is the owner/president. I had purchased some of the purple and black dry rock on ebay ...... boy was i disappointed because the rock that came appeared to just be painted! I started breaking a bunch of it up and it had the ugly white or bone look to it and hated it. My first structure i built will not be going in to a tank any time soon ( did some custom coloring and not sure if it is safe for the fishes! Tyler sells the colorant in both black and purple and so far i have not been disappointed. It needs 24 hrs to dry but i started painting one of my island pcs (future home for a pulsating Xenia) Truly thankful for stumbling across this product. I apologize ahead of time if I'm not allowed to post this kinda of thing but I'm super excited! More pics to come!
