Hi everyone, new to the forum, so far it looks like an amazing resource! I am getting back into the hobby after a 15 year hiatus. Quite a lot has changed! Previous tanks were a sumpless 55 gallon with metal halides, mixed reef, and an original JBJ 12 gallon Nano Cube that I retrofitted with a fan and power compacts. I recently got the bug to have an aquarium again, and found that my old favorite forum, reefs.org, is now defunct. It looks like this will be a great replacement, as I was never a big fan of the other large reef keeping forum. I have purchased a used 90 gallon tank with stand, eshopps sump, eshopps s200 skimmer, and current orbit IC lights that I have realized will be useless for the corals I hope to have. My build will be very slow as I have a very seasonal job and I am in the heart of the busy season, and also plan on saving and buying the right equipment rather than rushing to buy everything now and having to cut corners to save cost. I am currently thinking of running this tank on the Triton system, as the lack of water changes will benefit my busy work schedule in season. In order to do so I will have to get a larger sump and customize it, but the skimmer seems perfect. I will also sell these lights and I'm looking at either reefbreeders photon v2+ 48" or Kessil ap700 for lighting. I want to do a mixed reef with mostly LPS and maybe just some Montis for SPS at the top of the rock work. I will start a build thread at some point but as mentioned I am crazy busy and before I even start on this tank I need to clean up the garage and make space for RO unit, saltwater mixing trash can, etc. Feel free to give any and all advice. Thanks!
Loren
