Hi my name is LaVonne. I’m just starting out with a 50gal a-I-o. This is my first time ever owning an aquarium. I have my fish and now I’d like to try some corals. Not sure what to start with.
Thanks for that info. I’m going to buy corals from the sale so hopefully I will see those will definitely get them.

Welcome to R2R!

I always start with a tiny frag of GSP and a small Xenia (both on separate small rocks).

Get these two settled and doing well.

Then try a hammer, frogspawn or torch.
Get them doing well.

Your maybe 8 months in at this point, try a Green Slimer as your first hard Coral.

From this point, whatever you like.

I second @WalkerLovesTheOcean with mushrooms! These corals come in every color and grow well. Sometimes too well. As for dipping into lps. It's hard to beat candy canes for color and ease of growth. Either way, we are glad you're here!
