I just got a new torch coral yesterday and placed it in my tank under 2 of my hammer corals. Could the torch sting the hammer corals? Would it be ok since they are euphyllia corals?

It will sting the hammers. Now idk about hammers near other euphyillia but i do know torches need to only be with torches. I have a frammer beside a frogspawn and the frogspawn has been retracted over the last week or two.

I would move them away.
I have my torches near my zoas to keep them at bay.

Give them some room, both can extend sweeper tentacles to nearby corals to “fight”. Most times the torch wins but it’s not a guarantee.

*Hammers were reclassified in 2017 as Fimbriaphyllia
